The German composer, organ and piano virtuoso is one of the most important
innovators in music and one of the most creative composers of the past
centuries; he is often described as the greatest composer in music history. Special
feature: The Christmas Oratorio is one of the composer’s favorite and most
frequently performed works. It is not a uniform piece of music composed as a
whole, but consists of six cantatas. Johann Sebastian Bach’s work comprises
1,126 cantatas, preludes, masses and chorales – and now also a handcrafted
nutcracker composition as a loving homage.
